The famous British conductor Roger Norrington introduces an eclectic evening of music that spans three centuries and through which the French poet Rimbaud wanders. Britten's introduction to Les Illuminations by Rimbaud led him to compose an eponymous song cycle. A true masterpiece! Also gracing the program are excerpts from Mozart's Idomeneo and Schubert's 'Unfinished' Symphony. With none other than Ian Bostridge in the lead role, KlaraFestival will be closed in beauty.
